Lifeguarding Course in Michigan

Hybrid Lifeguarding course in Michigan for Girls

Must be 15 years of age by the last day of the course (tentatively by May 20, 2025)

Taking place May/June 2025

Online Portion to be completed by May 1

2 days in person will take place tentatively on a Sunday, 10-8 and the following Monday 5:30-10:00.

CPR & First Aid included

Optional & Highly Recommended: Pre LG Course: $65 for a 30 minute class (minimum 3 participants) given March & May

Goal: Mrs. M. Buckwold will teach you techniques to help you iyh pass the course.

BTW: All girls taking this pre course passed the LG course successfully.

At the onset of the course, you will be tested and must complete the following:

A. Be able to swim 300 yards (12 lengths of a 25 yard pool) without stopping, using the crawl or breaststroke.

B. Tread water using legs only for 2 minutes.

C. Retrieve a 10-lb weight from 7 feet deep and swim 20 yards with the weight, using legs only and exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

Price: $550. Price is based on a minimum of 12 girls enrolled.

Optional & Highly Recommended: Pre LG Course: $65 for a 30 minute class (minimum 3 participants) given March & May or $120 for 2 classes.

Goal of Pre LG course: Mrs. M. Buckwold will teach you techniques to help you iyh pass the course, includes stroke refinement, techniques on how to dive to retrieve the “brick” and more.

BTW: All girls taking this pre course passed the LG course successfully.
