Swimming Lessons

Where Learning Is Fun for Everyone

At Aqua Safe Swim School, we believe that your child deserves to have an incredible swimming experience in the safest and most fun environment possible. Our different Aqua Swim Levels are specially designed to make learning fun through guided play for beginners to advanced swimmers from 6 months and up, including infant swim lessons, toddler swimming lessons, and more…

Choose from one of our classes:

Group Classes

This class is appropriate for many children who learn well in a group setting. Group classes are small groups, where group and individualized instruction are combined to help your child succeed. If your child is ready to learn a new skill, or is lagging behind his group, we will work with him/her individually to push him ahead or catch him up. Almost all children pass 1 swim level, many pass 1.5 or even 2 levels!

Private Classes with Miriam

Besides for Water Survival Training, Miriam also works with challenged clients, anxious, older clients, special needs, low muscle tone etc. Choose a class for 20 or 30 minutes in the mornings (10:00-12:30) or afternoons (4-7) with Miriam Buckwold, Owner.

WST-Water Survival Training for toddlers & children with Miriam

If you are a pool owner, or frequently go to pools, you want your baby/toddler/child to know how to swim across the water to safety, no matter the age. Miriam works individually with these younger clients, starting from 12 months of age, with limited slots. Our goal is to teach your child to float on his back, turn over and “swim” on front, and repeat until they reach safety (swim, float, swim). Some children learn to swim, come up to breathe and repeat. We also teach how to exit the pool, strengthen fingers to “walk” across the ledge, of the pool (from inside of the pool), prepare them for water accidents thru simulation, and more.

Recommended amount of time is based on age: 1 to 3 years: 20 minutes, 15-18 class. 4 years and up: 20 or 30 minutes, 12 classes. Different clients advance differently, depending on the nature of the child and water comfort. There are no guarantees, but b”h we’ve had a lot of success.

Semi Private Classes

In this class, we teach two clients together. They need not be on the same swim level. We teach with both clients together as much as possible. We also individualize as needed. We keep them busy practicing, while teaching the other, so they get the most out of the 30-minute class. You may sign up with a friend, or just sign up for one spot.

From Your Own Class or Family Class

There are 3, 4, or 5 clients in this class. You are responsible for forming this class. The children can be on 2 (or 3) different levels. This option allows for a smaller class where your kids will get more individualized attention and learn more. If you don’t see class dates, please contact us and we will accommodate you.

Family Class

To make it convenient for you, we are offering to teach up to 5 family members in one class. This can include males & famales if you choose.. If there are males ages 8 & up, instructor will teach from the poolside; for males thru age 7, instructor can be in the pool, if you choose. We will teach all levels. If you don’t see class dates, please contact us and we will attempt to accommodate you.

Semi Private Classes with an Aqua Safe Instructor

Boys Swim Lessons

Aqua Safe maintains high standards of modesty while teaching boys to swim. Boys through age of 7 are taught by a female instructor in the pool, while wearing modest attire. Boys ages 8-12 are taught while the female instructor is at the poolside. We’ve been doing this for many years, and it works very well, especially once they can float. Fathers may drop off children but at NO time should enter the pool area.
